One of the most iconic moments in the original ‘Star Wars’ trilogy is when the nefarious Jabba the Hutt has taken Carrie Fisher’s Leia as his slave, forcing her to dress in that skimpy gold and red bikini outfit with a chain attached to her neck. That moment from ‘Return of the Jedi’ is embedded in the memory of both male and female fans of the franchise, and over the years we’ve debated whether the Slave Leia costume is OK or if it’s salacious objectification of our heroine.
